The effectiveness of international legal harmonization through soft law

The XXIth General Congress of the International Academy of Comparative Law (IACL) gathered scholars from all over the world (ca. 1500 attendees) in Asunción.

Together with Prof. Lauro Gama and Prof. Geneviève Saumier, we presented the General Report on the effectiveness of international legal harmonization through soft law (with a focus on the UCP 600).

Our session was also a part of the event “A Private International Law to transform the world” organized by the Asociación Americana de Derecho Internacional Privado.

Interview with Prof. Girsberger on the HCCH Principles

Conducted an interview the keynote speaker, Professor Daniel Girsberger, on topics ranging from the origins of the Principles on Choice of Law in International Commercial Contracts, the works of the Working Group, the innovative elements in the Principles and their usefulness in arbitration, to what could be the future in expanding the legal framework on the choice of law in international contracts.

The CODIFI conference brings together panelists and participants from a range of backgrounds, drawing on the expertise of specialists in public service and government, legal practice, finance, the technology sector, the diplomatic community and academia.

Support in the development, pre-production, production, post-production and marketing phases of the keynote speech video.
